As a student, I found this news article on Fox interesting and eye catching. The title itself gave me the interest to read the story.  Gregory Kelley a former Leander student was 18 years old when he was charged with indecency to a 4-year old child. Crimes committed by younger population these days are no longer shocking news. As we know, the number of young criminals is growing everyday. However, when you hear that a crime was committed or someone was charged of a crime close to your home, I find it very interesting to read.

This type of news is not only getting the attention of the younger population but also students, parents, teachers, government officials and law enforcement personnel. The information contained in the story will inform the general public and to educate the readers. More importantly the story will also remind people that the safety of our children is vital.  Further, a concerned citizen will have an interest in reading this article only to see how a student is now charged with a serious crime. Some readers will wait for the next news article about this headline to find out if he is guilty of the crime or not. It will be interesting to the readers how this case will be addressed by the court. As the story develops and evidence materials are presented to the court, readers will keep their eyes open for more updates.
